Kingdom Parenting was founded in 2000 by K. A. Brown to meet the needs of families through Family Preservation, Parent Education & Family Consulting within the Greater Charleston area. Since then, Kingdom Parenting has served thousands of families locally & across the nation with cutting edge Parent Education techniques with proven results.
K. A. Brown, the Owner and Executive Director of Staff has obtained a BA in Psychology, Masters of Arts in Counseling, Masters in Addiction Counseling, Certification as a Parent Educator, Sc Certified Addictions Counselor, Parent Coach and Consultant. "The hallmark of Kingdom Parenting's success is our hands-on approach in helping the families that we serve. I have been entrusted with an awesome gift in being called to serve the families that we are favored to receive for services. My purpose is fueled by my passion, which drives my daily life".
Whether going to hospitals to visit families, traveling to schools to assist parents with problems their children may be facing in school, or taking late night emergency calls, Mrs. Brown is leading the Team of Kingdom Parenting Professionals in going the distance in order to make a difference in the lives of our parents and their children for generations to come!
Our Founder & Executive Director
Leticia Urroz is our Former Hispanic Services Coordinator. Mrs. Urroz is currently a Volunteer Interpreter and provides Certified Translation and Interpretation services for the Spanish Speaking population. Leticia has obtained her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and is also in the process of pursuing advanced Degrees in the areas of the Social Sciences to further enhance her provision of services to the Spanish Speaking population.
Leticia is also a Trained Parent Educator, Certified Crisis Coach and upcoming professional in the local community and abroad. Mrs. Urroz also provides direct services to the Spanish-Speaking Community. Leticia's passion for providing cutting edge and professional interpretation services to the clients that she serves is making a tremendous difference in the lives of the families we serve in the Low Country and surrounding areas!

Tri-County Facilitator &
Supervisor of Visitation
Christina Bruno has over 20 years experience as an Educator and a reputation for being a Team Leader and Trainer in both the public and private sector. Christina has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and is a double Master's Level Educator and Trained Parent Educator. Christina is helping to expand our services by providing Supervised Visitation Services and Parenting Classes in Berkeley & Dorchester Counties to better serve our Tri-County clients.
Mrs. Bruno's expertise in teaching and educating a myriad of students from Kindergarten through Upper School grades is extraordinary. Her hands-on approach, patience, wisdom and skill-set is a valuable asset as we expand our reach to the families of the Low Country and abroad. With an innate ability to connect with the parents that we serve along with their children, Christina's contribution to the Kingdom Parenting Team is phenomenal, at best!
Spanish Services Interpreter
Welcome our Newest Team Member!
Margarita Schmid is the newest member of the Kingdom Parenting Team! As our Primary
Bi-Lingual Hispanic Services Interpreter, Mrs. Schmid works closely with our Executive Director and provides Certified Interpretation services for the Spanish Speaking population. Margarita has obtained her Bachelors Degree in Sociology and has served as a Spanish Immersion Instructor, International Global Health Coordinator and is an avid Volunteer and liaison within the community.
Margarita's passion for helping families has contributed significantly to the impact that Kingdom Parenting is having in the rapidly expanding Spanish Speaking population in the Low Country. As she is currently in pursuit of additional degrees and training to expand her reach within the community, we are honored to have Margarita as the latest addition to the Kingdom Parenting Team of Professionals!
